Support for the Whole Family During Difficult Times
Q: Who can access EFAP services?
A: EFAP provides free, confidential counselling and services for Tom, his spouse, and dependent children under 30.
When Tom’s daughter, Emily, struggles with the transition to university life, she finds herself overwhelmed by anxiety. Knowing that the EFAP is available to their family, Tom encourages her to reach out for help. The program offers up to 10 free sessions per case, giving Emily the space to talk to a counsellor about her challenges.
Sarah also takes advantage of the EFAP when caring for her aging mother becomes emotionally exhausting. Through eldercare consultation, she gets advice and resources to help her manage this life stage. Knowing that the program offers support for every member of their family gives Tom peace of mind. Whether it’s career advice for him, stress management for Emily, or eldercare support for Sarah, the EFAP provides the tools they need to handle life’s challenges together.
