Quick Action Keeps Your Coverage Secure

Q: How can I reinstate my coverage if it ends?

A: If your coverage ends, you can reinstate it by contacting AGA Benefit Solutions within the first three weeks of the month your coverage ends. You will need to self-pay for the hours you were short and ensure 140 hours to qualify for the next month. If Tom misses the reinstatement window, he would need to accumulate 280 hours in his hour bank to be covered again.

Tom found himself facing a situation where his hour bank had dropped below the required 140 hours. After months of steady work, he was caught off guard by a shortage notice that arrived—this time, by email. (It could just as easily have come by mail.) He knew how important it was to stay covered, not only for his health but also for the peace of mind it gave his family.

Determined to act quickly, Tom called AGA Benefit Solutions and learned that he could reinstate his coverage as long as he contacted them within three weeks of receiving the notice. His representative explained the straightforward self-pay process to make up the missing hours.

Tom submitted the payment promptly to top up his hour bank. Because he acted on time, his coverage was reinstated without any interruption. Tom could continue accessing health, dental, and other benefits without missing a beat. It was a moment of relief—and a reminder that even when the unexpected happens, there’s a clear path to staying protected.
