Access to Multiple Sessions for Lasting Support

Q: How many EFAP sessions are provided per case?

A: The plan provides up to 10 EFAP sessions per case, offering support for personal, family, and work-related issues.

Tom’s colleague, Sarah, had been dealing with some personal challenges and was thinking about reaching out to the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) for help. She wasn’t sure how much support she could access, so she turned to Tom for clarification.

Tom, familiar with the program’s benefits, explained, “With EFAP, you’re entitled to up to 10 sessions per issue. So if you’re dealing with different concerns, like work stress and family issues, you can receive separate sessions for each.”

He assured Sarah that these sessions were designed to provide meaningful, lasting support, helping members work through complex issues without feeling rushed. Knowing she had access to multiple sessions for each area of need, Sarah felt more confident in reaching out for help. For Tom, it was fulfilling to see how the union’s benefits offered comprehensive, ongoing support, giving members the time and resources to address their well-being fully.
