Expanded definitions and improved benefits effective January 1, 2021.

We are pleased to announce several enhancements that will be included in our Group Critical Illness Insurance Plan, for any claims diagnosed on or after January 1st, 2021. These improvements are outlined below:


  • Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease: For these conditions, claims will be now be paid when the diagnosis originally has been made.

  • Multiple Sclerosis: The definition of Multiple Sclerosis has been simplified.

  • Heart Attack: The definition of Heart Attack has been expanded.

  • Second Event Benefit: Previously, this benefit only covered diagnoses of Cancer or a Cardiovascular Condition.
