Accidental insurance offers 24/7 worldwide coverage, ensuring financial protection and support during unexpected accidents for you and your family.

Death and Family Support Benefits


Bereavement Benefit

Up to $5,000 for counselling for your spouse or children within one year of an accidental death.


Daycare Benefit

Up to $5,000 per year for children under 13 (enrolled in daycare or enrolls within 90 days of accidental death), available for four consecutive years.


After-school Care

Up to $5,000 per year for children under 13, for four consecutive years.


Death Benefit

A benefit of $100,000 is payable to the member’s designated beneficiary. If no beneficiary has been named, the benefit will be paid to the member’s estate.


Dependant Child Educational Benefit

Up to $5,000 per year, per child is available for four consecutive years of post-secondary tuition. The Dependent Child must be under age 23, or under 26 if enrolled as a full-time student.


Funeral Expense Benefit

Up to $5,000 to cover funeral costs.


Parental Care Benefit

A benefit of $10,000 is payable if the member passes away due to an accident and was caring for a Dependent Parent at the time of death.


Repatriation Benefit

Up to $15,000 to bring your body home if you pass away more than 50 km from your residence.


Identification Benefit

Return economy class transportation, plus $1,500 for hotel and meal expenses, plus ($0.40) cents per kilometer for return trip for a family member, if the deceased insured is at least 50 kms from home.



Injury, Disability, and Recovery Benefits


Accidental Loss and Paralysis Benefit

Coverage for loss of sight, limbs, or paralysis, with the highest benefit paid for multiple losses.


Coma Benefit

If a covered injury leaves you in a coma for over 31 days, the plan pays $1,000 per month for 11 months, then a lump sum of $100,000 minus payments made if the coma continues.


Disability Fitness Benefit

Up to $5,000 is available for specially designed fitness or athletic equipment to aid in your recovery. The equipment must be purchased within two years of the accident.


Permanent and Total Disability Benefit

$100,000 if you are permanently disabled and unable to perform at least two activities of daily living (e.g., eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, transferring and maintaining continence).


Psychological Therapy Benefit

Up to $5,000 for therapy within two years of your injury.


Workplace Modification and Accommodation Benefit

Up to $5,000 to help your employer adapt your workspace for your return, full-time.


Home/Vehicle Modification Benefit

Up to $15,000 to make your home or vehicle wheelchair-accessible.


Hospital Benefit

If an injury results in a covered loss and hospitalization of more than 5 days, a daily benefit of $33 is payable from day one. If the stay exceeds 30 days, a monthly benefit of $1,000 applies, up to 12 months.


Rehabilitation Benefit

Up to $15,000 for occupational training due to a covered injury. Expenses must be incurred within 3 years.



Special Situations and Additional Benefits


Carjacking Benefit

If a member is injured as a result of a carjacking and receives a benefit for that injury under the plan, they will also receive an additional $15,000 Carjacking Benefit.


Cosmetic Disfigurement Benefit

Up to $25,000 for injuries causing full-thickness burns into underlying tissue from fire, heat, electricity, radiation or caustics.


Disappearance Benefit

$100,000 if your body isn’t recovered within a year after an accident involving wreck, sinking, stranding or forced landing.


Seat Belt and Airbag Benefit

$10,000 for death in a car accident while wearing a seatbelt, plus $10,000 if the seat had a Supplement Restraint System that inflates on impact.


Serious Illness Benefit (except cancer)

$10,000 is payable for illnesses such as Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, necrotizing fasciitis, major organ failure or transplant, and motor neuron disease. The member must have been insured for 90 days before diagnosis and have survived 30 days after.


Family Transportation Benefit

Up to $15,000 for a family member to travel if you are hospitalized more than 100 km from home.


Spousal Educational Benefit

Up to $15,000 for your spouse to enroll in job training within 36 months of your passing.
